LaIndia receives two Guinness World Records
In celebration of her 30 years of career, the Puerto Rican salsa singerThe singer received two records for the most No. 1 singles on the Billboard Tropical Airplay charts for a female artist and an additional title for the most No. 1 albums on the Billboard Tropical Album Chart.
“I am very proud and honored to receive this recognition from Guinness World Records,” India said in a press statement. “This is a culmination of years of hard work and fighting to achieve my goals. We are in a great moment for women empowerment and encouragement.”and released“Puerto Rico is an island of records. We are proud to welcome La India to the Guinness World Records family,” said Claire Stephens, official adjudicator for Guinness World Records.
“People should follow their dreams and keep going no matter what obstacles they may face,” India added. La India is sampled on the DJ Khaled track "You Stay," and will be a special guest for the Forever Tango run in Puerto Rico this August.
