A superb Star Wars cosplay has brought Bastila Shan, one of the key Jedi in the Knights of the Old Republic franchise, to life ahead of Star Wars Celebration. The Knights of the Old Republic games are generally considered some of the best Star Wars content ever released, and they're being increasingly honored in the Disney era.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Given KotOR's enduring influence, it's unsurprising that some fans are creating cosplays inspired by the franchise ahead of Star Wars Celebration. One cosplayer, Mads, has revealed her Bastila Shan cosplay on Twitter. It's a delightful recreation of a classic member of the Old Jedi Order, even if she apparently isn't participating in this year's cosplay competition.
Several other characters from KotOR have been mentioned in Disney canon, but Bastila has not. Still, some of the events she was involved with have been acknowledged, such as an ancient war between the Mandalorians and the Jedi. It wouldn't be a surprise to see Bastila Shan name-dropped at some point soon.
For now, though, this superb cosplay serves as a reminder of a popular character who only exists in Legends. It's tremendous to see Knights of the Old Republic continuing to be honored in the fandom in this way, and there will surely be other KotOR characters brought to life at Star Wars Celebration 2023 as well. Hopefully more will be shared on social media as well.
