'College GameDay' analyst Kirk Herbstreit signs an extension with ESPN and will call NFL games with Al Michaels for Amazon.

Details of the extension weren’t revealed. However, it is a multi-year deal that will keep the college footbal analyst with “College GameDay Built”“I am so proud of the work our ESPN and ABC team does on college football – this has been my family for 26 years and my passion for the sport is unwavering,” Herbstreit said in a release. “Calling college games and being a part of ‘College GameDay’ is important to me.
Now in his 26th year with ESPN, Herbstreit will remain the lead analyst on the College Football Playoff, in addition to contributing to ESPN’s extensive multi-platform programming surrounding the sport.Herbstreit will call NFL Thursday night games with Al Michaels, who has offered play-by-play patter for “Monday Night Football” and “Sunday Night Football” since 1986.
