Footage showing King Charles arriving at Westminster Abbey ahead of his Coronation appeared to show him irritated
King Charles III arrived at his Coronation at Westminster Abbey in the Diamond Jubilee State Coach yesterday, but despite the momentous occasion, the King appeared agitated.
As reported by the Mirror, the lip reader claims he uttered to his wife: "We can never be on time, there's always something..." The service saw Mr Welby place the St Edward's Crown on King Charles' head. This will be the first and only time that Charles, 74, will wear the 17th-century crown which was last worn by Queen Elizabeth II during her Coronation.
He said: "I, William, Prince of Wales, pledge my loyalty to you and faith and truth I will bear unto you, as your liege man of life and limb. So help me God."
