On the other hand, he risked evoking the ire of his mother by leapfrogging her long-time crush, Hall of Famer Hakeem Olajuwon, in the all-time list for regular season points with the 35-year-old now on 26,949.
Reflecting on the milestone after the game, the self-styled 'Easy Money Sniper' revealed Olajuwon is a revered figure in the Durant household.
