“His grandkids will miss him playing basketball with them, his endless, playful teasing, and trying to get them on the trampoline, which is a core memory for every single one of them,” according to the obituary.Casey also was a member of the Evergreen Park Elementary District 124 Board, according to his obituary.
“Everything he did was what was best for the city,” Hacker said. “He brought smiles to our faces every day. He had the quickest wit.”“Anybody that came to his door, he invited them in and talked with them,” Hacker said. “He was the people’s mayor.”
