For CSU’s Moore and Golden’s Thistlewood, the journey to the NCAA Tournament was worth every step. by SeanKeeler
FORT COLLINS — The kids hoisted all 155 pounds of Kendle Moore onto their shoulders like a conquering king, chanting and surfing him back to the CSU bench.Moore hollered right along with them, conducting the chorus as it swayed and danced, celebrating the Rams’ 71-68 win over Boise State at Moby Arena with the ride of his life.
It was a victory few CSU faithful will forget, either, especially after suspects usual and unusual carried the Rams over the line in crunch time. And it was Moore who shook the rafters at a sold-out Moby with a trey from deep in the right corner with 13:19 left before halftime. The 6-footer’s rainbow bounced high off the iron, caromed straight up and then nose-dived straight through the twine, the ultimate shooter’s roll and one that pushed CSU’s cushion to 17-10.
