Swift brought in a gaggle of celebrities, but left a lot of her notorious girl gang out.
In “You Need to Calm Down,” Swift and her pals live in some sort of trailer park heaven, lounging in pools, having tea parties, and just generally kiki-ing. But no haven is safe from homophobes with misspelled signs that must have taken all night. Billy Porter comes by and simply sashays them away. But if you thought she and Katy Perry were actually going to make-out on Swift’s family channel, you were sorely mistaken. The pair formally squash their beef, literally wearing burger and fries costumes and having a cuddle. “You Need to Calm Down” ends with Swift calling everyone to action with her petition for Senate support of the Equality Act, found on Change.org. Count the celebs in the new video and then, if you’re a real one, actually get GLAAD.
