Prince William treated his wife Kate to a top-of-the-range Aston Martin test drive for Christmas
Everyone knows experiences-based gifts make the best gifts. Prince William did not disappoint this Christmas, treating Kate to a ‘Bond girl’ weekend with a top-of-the-range Aston Martin test drive ahead of her 41st birthday .
The £189,000 luxury SUV is the first Welsh-built production car in more than 50 years and one of thousands rolling off the production line at the four-year old factory in South Wales. The 90-acre factory - which has resulted in hundreds of new jobs being created - was opened by the now-King in February 2020.
When William presented Barbara with her CBE in July, she was asked who was likely to take over the role as the next Bond, and said: “Unfortunately, the person we just met isn’t available. He’s occupied, unfortunately, but he would be the perfect candidate.
