Kate Middleton re-wore a gorgeous dress that she first debuted in 2012 to the BAFTAs over the weekend.
Back in September of 2012, Kate debuted the dress at an official dinner hosted by Malaysia's Head of State. The duchess kept things slightly more casual for that occasion, but forgoing a necklace, wearing her hair partly down, and donning open-toed shoes.
Which look is better? Honestly, that would be like asking us to choose between two of our kids. It's impossible! While Kate is no stranger to re-wearing clothing, the dress code for the BAFTAs likely dictated her choice this year. reported that the London College of Fashion style guide revealed that the BAFTAs were promoting sustainability this year.
"This awards season BAFTA are doing more than ever before to consider sustainability across its awards ceremonies, including inviting guests to 'dress sustainably,'" the guide read."The red carpet is a powerful platform -- stepping out in front of the cameras, outfits are beamed across the world instantly, outfits are dissected and poured over, elevating the actors, designers and stylists who spend hours of careful preparation getting the outfits just right.
While it's always exciting to see Kate rocking something new and never-before-seen, we applaud her tendency to rewear clothes as often as she does.
