The Prince and Princess of Wales have had a rocky relationship over the years and split up several times before they officially tied the knot in 2011.
Prince William and Kate Middleton are one of Britain's most iconic couples and the world has fallen in love with their relationship after watching them grow from when they first met at St Andrews University into marriage and starting a family.
When asked about the split during their engagement interview, the future King said they had to simply "find their own way" and "grow up", but didn't disclose any further details about it, the Mirror reports. Speaking at the time, friends of Kate's said harsh words has been exchanged between the pair as a result and the princess felt like that William was 'cheapening her image' with his behaviour.
"But after his recent behaviour she gave him an ultimatum and told him that over the time he behaved like that in public, he was cheapening her image as well as his own.
