'I don’t like my teacher. She’s really mean. She hit me on my arm,' the child told her mother.
A Kansas mother has described the “heartbreaking” moment she watched footage of her daughter’s kindergarten teacher appearing to kick her in the school library.
The child replied:"I don’t like my teacher. She’s really mean. She hit me on my arm," according to KCTV5. In a recording of a conversation between the mother and the child's individualized education program teacher, the staff member is heard saying that the girl told her a teacher hit her. The IEP teacher claims when she asked for more information the girl said the teacher but she wasn't sure what happened as she wasn't there.
The girl's mother said she was upset that the school did not alert her right away, and the incident may have never come to light: potentially endangering other students.
