Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber ran into her ex Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello at the MetGala and cameras were there to catch the entire exchange.
At the time, Mendes shared that he had reached out to his ex to congratulate her and Justin after they tied the knot one month prior.
“I texted Hailey, ‘Congratulations,’ and I really am happy for them,” he added. “She’s still one of the f–king coolest people ever — she’s not just a beautiful person visually, but she’s one of the most beautiful hearts I’ve ever met. … You can’t control your heart.” Mendes, for his part, moved on with Cabello in 2019 after being friends for five years before that. Although the twosome, the Canada native admitted that the milestone was on his mind.
“Yeah, absolutely. I think for me it’s always been if I’m not willing to talk about that stuff then I kind of check out a little bit, and I don’t know, I really think when you know, you know,” he shared with Entertainment Tonight in December 2020.
