, the great climactic moment is a run of Stateside dates for its feature-length live performance epic. After a debut showing at Austin's SXSW in March and showings across Europe, including the duo's native Paris, the visually-stunning effort finally comes to theaters across the U.S. for one day only, Tuesday, Sept. 10.
In an experimental take on the tried-and-true concert recording format, Justice play with "space" in a different way. Instead of filming its Grammy-winning set in front of a live audience, the French duo chose to recreate its stunning audio-visual presentation in an empty sound studio, creating the illusion that its walls of Marshall amps and ever-shifting light structures are floating in an invisible - albeit reflective - void.
The trailer alone is pretty eye-popping, though this studio-centric approach to their live set mirrors the way Justice released its LP, wherein the duo took recordings of its concerts back to the studio to mash each recording together, creating the perfect studio version. The LP won Justice the Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Album earlier this year.will have a one-day run in US theaters Tuesday, Sept.
