Launch of the new database comes after a group of Democratic senators last year called for its creationAssistant Attorney General Carlos Felipe Uriarte announced the launch of the database in a May 30 letter to lawmakers.The Justice Department under President Biden has said that cracking down on corporate crime is a priority. Soon it could be easier to see if prosecutors are measuring up to that promise.
