CLEVELAND, Ohio — An Elyria man could be sentenced to a maximum of 30 years in prison after he was convicted by a federal jury of multiple drug charges. Terry Jackson Sr., 50, on Monday was found guilty of distributing cocaine base, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine following a three-day trial, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio. Jackson is scheduled to be sentenced June 20.

Police began investigating Jackson in February 2019 after receiving information that he was selling drugs from an Elyria-area motel room. Undercover officers were able to buy cocaine from Jackson at the hotel room, authorities say. After obtaining a search warrant, police returned to the hotel room and found Jackson in the room with fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine, prosecutors say.Note to readers: if you purchase something through one of our affiliate links we may earn a commission.
