Julian Castro, the former housing secretary, on Thursday dropped out of the Democratic presidential primary.
Castro said in a video released by his campaign, "I've determined that it simply isn't our time." The 45-year-old said he'd keep working towards a country where "everyone can get a good job, good health care and a decent place to live."
