A judge has declined to grant a new trial to Mexican telenovela star Pablo Lyle after he was convicted of fatally punching a man during a road rage confrontation in Miami in 2019
Mexican actor Pablo Lyle gestures toward family members as he leaves the courtroom after Judge Maria Tinkler Mendez ruled against a new trial for Lyle as he, his family, lawyers, and members of the media gathered in Courtroom 4-6 at the Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building in Miami, Fla. on Monday, Dec. 12, 2022.
A six-member jury had found Lyle guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Juan Ricardo Hernández, 63. His lawyers argued there were inconsistencies in the evidence and that no evidence or witnesses had been presented to show that LyleMendez rejected that argument, ruling there was no reason to vacate the verdict.
