Manchester City assistant Juanma Lillo spoke to the media ahead of the club's game with Fulham in the Premier League
Akanji missed the game with Sheffield United with a minor issue while Foden was on the bench after an illness. He came on to play the final few minutes, and ended up with an assist where Rodri pounced on a loose ball in the box to smash home the winner.
Speaking in place of Pep Guardiola, who is still recovering from back surgery in Barcelona, assistant Juanma Lillo confirmed that the pair are both over their issues and are fit to take on Fulham at the weekend. Lillo also confirmed that John Stones is almost ready to play, despite being left out of the latest England squad for their upcoming games in September.
"Right now, Phil is completely recovered from his illness. Manu's problem was more prevention," he said. "He's more or less there. John is more or less there as well. We're okay, we're fine."Lillo could not confirm whether or not new signing Matheus Nunes will be available for Saturday's game with Fulham, having completed his £53m move from Wolves on Friday.
