As TheFarewell racks up awards buzz, 'Joy Luck Club' producer Janet Yang reflects on how far Hollywood has come in telling Asian American stories

Those words are uttered in a shaky, tearful voice in a San Francisco beauty parlor as the two women stare intensely at each other's reflection in a mirror.
