Culp has 15 years of coaching experience and previously served as an assistant coach this past season at Klein Oak under Barry Wilson.
In his lone year at Klein Oak, Culp helped lead a young Panthers squad to a 14-20 record and top-four finish in District 15-6A after beating Tomball Memorial, 9-4, for a playoff spot. The Panthers fell to Langham Creek in consecutive games in the bi-district round. Culp, an Eisenhower graduate, played college ball at Austin College and earned a master’s degree from Texas A&M Commerce. He played overseas in Europe until suffering a shoulder injury.
Prior to Klein Oak, Culp was the head softball coach at Caney Creek, served as athletic director and head football coach in Terrell County ISD, and also led Eisenhower baseball for six years.
