On the most romantic day of the year, Joseph Altuzarra and Gabriella Karefa-Johnson hosted an intimate post-show soirée with Vogue100.
A colorful crowd came out for the occasion. Naturally, manyeditors—including Lisa Aiken, Lilah Ramzi, Maddy Fass, and Elise Taylor—stopped by for a glass of Champagne and to congratulate the designer. With her signature electric blue hair, Margaret Zhang, editor-in-chief of, made an appearance in a sophisticated trench coat and sunnies.
In a subtle nod to the holiday, bouquets of red roses filled the decadent space. Although in Midtown, Angelina’s baroque mirrors and swirling moldings transported attendees to a mystical, imagined city. Perhaps one reminiscent of Paris, Altuzarra’s hometown. The space, golden in candlelight, echoed the parade of exotically attired models who walked the runway. Asof the collection, the designer took inspiration from Madame Grès.
The conversation flitted from previous shows to what awaited the glamorous, nomadic crowd: London, Milan, Paris, and beyond.
