.kobalt taps Johan Land as its next chief product officer
Land, an e-commerce entrepreneur, brings to the role a decade of experience with a raft of blue-chip companies, including YouTube, where he worked on music and YouTube TV; and most recently at Waymo, where he led the launch of the first commercial self-driving cars service.
Previously, Land worked as a management consultant at McKinsey in Europe and India and he established a broad range of companies active in retail, tech and other sectors. Based in London, Land will be responsible for the next phase of the independent music company’s products and platform to "handle the rapidly increasing volume and complexity of data," a Kobalt statement reads.comments, "Kobalt has always been at the heart of technology and innovation in the music industry and Simon has been a big part of that. I’m excited to have Johan on board to continue this trend.
