The New York Jets just wrapped up a memorable run on Hard Knocks.
We get Rodgers comparing the moment to the 1990s classic “Independence Day,” some greatT Twilight Zone-esque music and shots of the sky from HBO. And ultimately, the five-episode run ended like it started: as an ode to Rodgers in his new home.
Even though they didn’t want to be on “Hard Knocks,” which they made clear before they were chosen for the show, they will walk away feeling good about the way they were portrayed. But how these five episodes will be remembered depends on what happens next. One of the Jets’ issues with being on “Hard Knocks” was the way the show has traditionally depicted roster cuts. In the past, we have seen those uncomfortable moments up close. The Jets didn’t want to do that, out of respect for the players.
Saleh’s final message: Last week, Saleh compared the adversity the Jets are about to face to climbing Mt. Everest. We saw him expand on that in greater detail, and then, interestingly, vent to the team about something he’s grown tired of in his two seasons with the Jets.
