Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has scored a touchdown with his Star development Frisco.

Now the giant financial firm will spend almost $58 million to set up the new office in Frisco near the Dallas Cowboys headquarters. TIAA is getting a grant of $18 million to help fund the Frisco office from the Texas Enterprise Fund. The company pays billions of dollars in benefits a year to its clients which are mostly retired educators.

When construction kicked off on the Star office tower last summer, it was one of the first such projects started since COVID sent office workers home and halted many such projects. Plano-based medical financial services firm Cain Watters & Associates was the initial tenant in the building now under construction.preliminary plans for the next, larger office at the Star, which would be located just to the north of the building already under construction. That’s the building TIAA will occupy.
