Former Spurs midfielder Jermaine Jenas has spoken to Metro about what the Emirates FA Cup means to him. He's also given us his verdict on who he thinks will come out on top ️⚽️
The former footballer has spoken about some of his favourite memories of the FA Cup ahead of the final at the weekend means to him, and what his favourite memories of the cup final are.
He said that one of his earliest throwbacks of the FA Cup as a kid was watching Everton v Liverpool in a Merseyside derby under the arches. He told Metro: ‘I’m a forest fan at heart, it’s my home. For me watching Forest in the final when they got beat was a tough one to take. but one of those amazing moments watching your club in the FA Cup final that I will never forget.
Some of the most popular and memorable tunes included Liverpool’s ‘Anfield Rap’ in 1988, and in 1997, the Chelsea team was joined by Suggs from Madness to belt out ‘Blue Day’ as he sang alongside the likes of Gianluca Vialli, Gianfranco Zola, and Dennis Wise. But despite that, he would always make sure he never missed the start of the Emirates Cup final and watched as the fans headed along Wembley Way.
