Jeff Goldblum is recording duets with FionaApple, sharonvanetten & more for his forthcoming album
, due for global release Nov. 1 via Decca Records. Goldblum’s longtime accompanying band, The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, worked on the record with him at Henson Recording Studios in Hollywood.
“I’m crying with ecstasy over this new album. Creatively, I’m happy as a clam. This collection of cohorts , with whom I get to cavort, is outa this cosmos,” he wrote in an enthusiastic press statement. “Ouch, my crackling cranium! I’m crowning!!!” The multihyphenate accompanied Van Etten on Irving Berlin’s “Let’s Face the Music and Dance,” a croon-worthy 1936 classic revitalized with a jazzy spin.
