Yusaku Maezaw, who is one of Japan's richest men, will launch from the Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on December 8, accompanied by his assistant and film producer Yozo Hirano.
The 46-year-old tycoon is the founder of Japan's largest online fashion mall. He and his assistant will spend 12 days aboard the orbiting space station. They will travel on a Soyuz spacecraft emblazoned with the Japanese flag and an 'MZ' logo for Maezawa's name.
