The House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 riot on Capitol Hill will hold a vote Monday on whether to recommend contempt charges against former Trump administration aides Dan Scavino and Peter Navarro.

Navarro, who served as the White House trade adviser, was subpoenaed last month. Despite writing a book, In Trump Time, that included passages about the 2020 election and his"Green Bay Sweep" plan to overturn the election results, Navarro declared that he would not comply with the subpoena. Earlier this month, he defied a deadline to appear for a deposition, citing former President Donald Trump's declaration of executive privilege.
