Jamie Carragher discusses Liverpool's new-look midfield in the first of two part interview with the ECHO
Jamie Carragher has praised the fast starts of Liverpool's summer signings and their respective roles in reshaping the Jurgen Klopp's midfield department.
Each of their new recruits have quickly adapted to their new surroundings, providing the team with a new lease of life on the back of bidding farewell to a selection of stalwarts. “Szoboszlai looks brilliant," Carragher exclusively told the ECHO. "He looks almost like one of the best players and if he wasn’t playing in a game, you would really miss him. It’s not just his creativity or his shooting ability, it is his physical impact: the pace and power he has got in terms of the ground he covers and the challenges he is involved in. If he doesn’t have his best game with the ball, he is still having a huge impact.
"With Szoboszlai, you are seeing the real deal right now. As for Gravenberch, he hasn’t played as much, you are looking at the potential and thinking it could be something really special there," continued Carragher. "You are seeing signs of that, the way he moves and glides past people. There is something there and, if Jurgen Klopp and his staff can make that into something good, we could have a really special player.
