Former Liverpool centre-back Jamie Carragher has admitted that former Manchester United striker Andy Cole was a 'nightmare' to face, reflecting on his strike partnership with Dwight Yorke.
Winning nine major trophies during his United career, including five Premier League titles and the 1999 Champions League crown, Cole played his part in one of the most successful eras the club has ever experienced. During the broadcast of Monday night's lively Premier League clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea, Carragher, alongside fellow former Liverpool player Daniel Sturridge, was reminiscing about famous strike partnerships of the past, citing Cole and Yorke as one of the best duos the league has ever seen. Even though Carragher felt Yorke was a better player than Cole, the latter was more difficult to stop.
