The Jaguars are getting some reinforcements in the secondary.

The team moved cornerback Gregory Junior to the designated for return list on Monday, bringing him one step closer to a return. Junior was one of the biggest surprises of training camp, competing for the starting nickelback role with Tre Herndon.
The second-year player didn’t win the head-to-head against Herndon but was positioned for a sizable role this year. But Herndon suffered a hamstring injury after the Week 1 win at Indianapolis and has spent the last six games on the reserve/injured list. Junior’s return will bolster the secondary. Montaric Brown, another second-year player, started for Tyson Campbell last week at New Orleans and had a stellar game. Brown broke up Derek Carr’s fourth-down pass in the end zone to preserve a 31-24 win.
