Still not convinced by the Jaguar S-Type? Shed reckons he's cracked the code...
What ever did we do before we had the internet? It’s hard to imagine or even remember what life was like in those days, when the vast majority of us relied on bent newspapers or carefully curated telly for our ‘information’, the only exceptions to the generally sheeplike acceptance of supposed truths being exhibited by those few boffins and swots who used to read books and such like.
Pre-internet, all that anyone with a grievance could do was catch their death of cold marching up and down outside their local dealership with a sandwich board, or, if they were massively rich, pay lawyers to do the marching. Neither approach gave any guarantee of success. What a difference between then and now, when powerful action is free of charge and any half-decent social media campaign will pretty much run itself once you’ve kickstarted it into life. What a time to be alive.
Take this week’s shed, a Jaguar S-Type 3.0 in what appears to be absolutely mint condish. 92,000 miles, buttery clean leather, buttery clean MOT apart from the odd rusty brake hose ferrule, spic and span bodywork and wheels etc - but it has an expensive sounding problem. The ad tells us that there’s a warning on the dash – DSC SYSTEM FAULT – and even provides a picture in case we don’t believe it.

Used 2016 Jaguar F-Type Project 7 5.0 V8 Supercharged Auto for saleA car that truly needs no introduction. The boundary-pushing Project 7 F-Type was released in 2015 and limited to just 250 units worldwide. The car boasted more performance and better handling than the standard F-Type R (567bhp, 516lb ft of torque, 0-60mph in 3.8 seconds, 80% stiffer springs etc.). We are very excited to offer this UK delivered example to the public market for the first time. This Project 7 was completed by Jaguar’s SVO (Special Vehicle Operations) department on 24th September 2015 to UK specification. It is finished in Jaguar British Racing Green metallic with Jet Black leather interior. The car was optioned with the SVO decals, still fitted as seen here. The car was first registered in February 2016 and has 3 previous owners. The most recent owner has prided himself on actually using the car. This example has now covered just over 14,000 miles with various trips across the channel onto the continent. By their own admission, they have had immeasurable fun with the car but feel they have now covered all bases with it and feel it is time to move it on to a new home. The car boasts a full Jaguar Main Dealer service history. The last service was in mid 2020 at 10,000 miles so please note the car will be serviced by Jaguar as part of the sale as it is almost due. Accompanying the car it’s the original alloy display handover box and the removable bikini soft top roof with its bag. Given the scarcity of these cars, they just do not come to market often, and especially not in what we consider to be the most desirable specification that was available and better still with enough miles on the clock to not be afraid to actually use the car. With that comes a sizeable saving too. Delivery/low mileage examples trade for £30-40,000 above what we are asking for this car. This Project 7 will make a fine addition to any collection and is sure to be heralded for years to come. As with all of our vehicles, we have a digital folder available on request containing more
