Jackie Avant, the philanthropist and wife to legendary music executive Clarence Avant, was shot and killed Wednesday in a home invasion in Beverly Hills,Jackie and Clarence’s daughter, Nicole Avant, is married to Netflix co-CEO and chief content officer Ted Sarandos.
A Netflix spokesperson confirmed the news toby the Beverly Hills Police Department, its communications center received a call at 2:23 a.m. in response to a shooting on the 1100 block of Maytor Place, in the high-end Trousdale Estates neighborhood. Upon arrival, police discovered a victim with a gunshot wound. Paramedics transported the victim to Cedars-Sinai hospital, but the victim did not survive.
