Manchester City star Jack Grealish has been widely praised on social media after a heartwarming moment with a visually impaired fan during the Super Cup.
And after the game the City players lined up to collect their medals from UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin and other dignitaries ahead of captain Walker’s trophy lift.
However the medal queue was soon halted by Grealish, who briefly snubbed Ceferin’s congratulations to speak to a visually impaired girl stood next to the UEFA chief.CIty manager Pep Guardiola also made some time for the girl, giving her a kiss on the cheek before he made his way to the stage for the trophy lift.
Grealish’s behaviour off the pitch has been nothing short of exemplary while in the public eye. The England winger has spoken candidly on his bond with his sister, Holly, who has cerebral palsy. The 27-year-old also dedicated a celebration to young City fan Finlay, who also has cerebral palsy, after scoring in England’s win over Iran in the 2022 World Cup.said via TNT: “The manager made it so clear to use before the game how much he wants this club to win this trophy.“Because over the last 10 to 15 years this club has been so successful, and this has been one we have been waiting for. Even personally for myself, this is another one ticked off the list.
“It was so hot and humid. They made it hard for us, we knew they were good at crosses into the box, fair play to them.”
