ITV deny Holly and Phil 'were booed for skipping queue to see Queen'
ITV have denied claims Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were heckled by crowds at Westminster Hall as they were filming a segment at the Queen’s lying-in-state last week.
“People were saying, ‘Oi, Phil, Holly, get to the back of the queue!’. Phil looked around and smiled as if to say, ‘We can do what we want’,' he claimed to The Sun. Queuing in “freezing temperatures”, Joe went on to explain that people were becoming “tired” and “frustrated”, but added that there was a huge sense of camaraderie between the group as they supported each other with the gruelling task of standing in cold temperatures for so many hours.
"They did not file past the Queen's coffin and were there alongside a host of other broadcasters and national media in a professional capacity.” ITV have stood beside their stars and backed them all the way, releasing a statement to clarify that they were working members of the media.
