A prequel to Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel, Treasure Island, Black Sails follows a young Captain Flint and his crew members, who fight for the survival of New Providence Island.
Israel Hands Was Blackbeard's First Mate Like most other pirates during the Golden Age of Piracy, not much is known about Israel Hands as very few historical records were written about the man aside from various fictional accounts. Hands served as Edward Teach's first mate, and the first historical record of Hands is in 1718, when Teach gave him command of Adventure, David Herriot's ship.
