Around 200 British nationals are trapped in Gaza, and the Government has said its focus is on 'getting them out'
Seventy employees of The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees have been killed since the Hamas offensive on Israel on 7 October. This is the highest number of UN workers killed in such a short space of time in any conflict, the agency says.
They claim there are 690,000 Internally Displaced People sheltering in 149 installations across the Gaza Strip. An estimated 160,000 are housed in 57 shelters in the north and in Gaza City - but UNRWA is no longer able to provide services all displaced people in those areas. 'Providing humanitarian assistance is extremely challenging due to lack of fuel, ongoing bombardment and destruction of infrastructure,' they said. https://twitter.
