Netflix's Danny Rand, a.k.a. Iron Fist, makes his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a new Shang-Chi 2 fan-made trailer featuring Simu Liu.
Iron Fist makes his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a new Shang-Chi 2 fan-made trailer. One of the new heroes that joined the MCU in Phase 4 was Shang-Chi. The film marked the introduction of who will be one of the new Avengers down the line. Following its success, a Shang-Chi 2 sequel is in the works. Destin Daniel Cretton will be back to direct the second installment. Outside of Simu Liu, no other cast members are attached at this point.

Screen Culture recently released a Shang-Chi 2 fan-made trailer with a pitch for what it could focus on. The Shang-Chi 2 trailer sees the titular hero join forces with a familiar face from the MCU. After having been absent since his show got canceled, Finn Jones' Iron Fist gets a spotlight in the fan-made trailer.Will Iron Fist Ever Return To The MCU? Iron Fist is unlikely going to be in Shang-Chi 2, but stranger things have happened before. The bigger question is if the MCU will ever feature Danny Rand again.
Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio made their return as Daredevil and Kingpin in 2021. They are both set to appear in Echo and will also headline Daredevil: Born Again. Jon Bernthal's Punisher is also appearing in their Disney+ series. Krysten Ritter and Mike Colter have teased potential returns over the last year. With a lot of focus on the Netflix characters, Jones' Iron Fist could very well be getting ready for a comeback.
At the same time, out of all the Netflix characters, Jones' Iron Fist was the one to receive the most criticism. His MCU show was also the weaker out of the Marvel properties on Netflix. If the MCU were to bring back Iron Fist, they might actually recast and retool the character for the films. Time will tell if Shang-Chi 2 or a different MCU project will ever feature Iron Fist again.
