Pearland-based Iron 24 opened its first-ever location in the Conroe Shopping Center at 2206 Interstate 45 North this week, with plans to open others in Magnolia, Pearland, Lake Jackson and Floresville later in the year. Gym-goers can use an app to access the gym and manage their membership, including canceling at any time.
Instead of a long-term contract, Iron 24 charges every two weeks: $24 for the standard fitness package, which includes access to the gym's wide array of fitness machines and weights, or $43 to get additional access to the infrared saunas inside the 4,925-square-foot gym. The gym is open 24/7 but has zero staff besides contracted cleaning crews, instead relying on the app to ensure that only paying members enter the facility. The company also has plans to allow customers to book personalized training through the app,"With Iron 24, we're innovating on a proven concept and taking the 24-hour gym to a new level of convenience and member-friendliness.
