Police say there is no threat to the wider community following the incident in Kirk Hallam
Police in Derbyshire have launched an investigation after a van collided with a car and a man on the grass verge. Police were called to Godfrey Drive in Kirk Hallam at 6.55pm on Monday following a report of an assault.
The force said a van collided with a black Vauxhall Astra before going onto a grass verge and hitting a man. A spokesman said: "An investigation has been launched into the incident and there will be increased patrols in the area over the next few days. "This is being treated as an isolated incident and we believe there is no wider threat to the community, however, should you have any concerns you can speak to any of the officers around the Kirk Hallam area. As part of our investigation, we are appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened or has any CCTV or dashcam footage, to contact us as their information could be vital to our enquiries.
