The Office of the Director of National Intelligence defended its decision to withhold from a House committee details of a whistleblower’s complaint
The Office of the Director of National Intelligence defended on Tuesday its decision to withhold from the House Intelligence Committee details of a whistleblower’s complaint and rebuffed demands that acting intelligence director Joseph Maguire appear before the panel this week to testify.
The nature of the whistleblower’s complaint isn’t known, but the rejection of the subpoena escalates an unusual confrontation between the House panel and the intelligence director’s office, which oversees all 17 U.S. spy agencies.
