Fifth Insperity title would put Bernhard Langer by himself in PGA Tour Champions wins

Since joining the age 50-and-over circuit, Langer, a two-time Masters champion, has won 45 times in 322 events, making all but one cut and accumulating $34 million. The World Golf Hall of Famer equaled Irwin’s mark in February, bettering the field in the Chubb Classic, and extended his tour-record streak of years with at least one win to 17, each year he has been on tour.
Irwin, 77, played PGA Tour Champions regularly into his seventies. A member of the World Golf Hall of Fame as well, Irwin is a three-time U.S. Open winner who won the U.S. Senior Open twice. “What Bernhard has been doing and continues to do is amazing,” Irwin said. “I always enjoy watching somebody that does their skill well. The fact that he’s still going as he is, and with the competition that we have behind us now, is amazing.”
