Tom didn't let the setback stop him from pursuing his dreams 💖
Tom Parker auditioned for the X Factor almost 20 years ago but, despite him not making it past the first round, the late dad-of-two didn’t let that stop him from pursuing his dreams.He then went on to audition for the X Factor, but reportedly Simon Cowell stopped Tom halfway through his performance of Westlife’s Flying Without Wings.
The band was put together by Jayne Collins, who also put together popular British girl band The Saturdays. Tom came out better from it, however, as in 2010, he and the rest of The Wanted took to the X Factor stage to perform on its result show.Their X Factor performance came at the same time as the release of their debut album – titled The Wanted – which spawned three UK top 20 singles and topped the albums chart in fourth place.
