Mrs Kneale died on the Stroke Unit at Blackpool Victoria Hospital in November 2018
The inquest into the death of stroke patient Valerie Kneale, who is believed to have been murdered on the Stroke Unit at Blackpool Victoria Hospital has been scheduled to take place in December.
Mrs Kneale, 75, was admitted to the unit in November 2018 after falling ill at her home in Knott End-on-Sea. However on her first night in hospital she suffered a second stroke and died on November 16. A post mortem found she had suffered 'non-medical' internal injuries and died from a haemorrhage. Lancashire Police launched a murder inquiry, but to date no-one has been charged.An inquest into Mrs Kneale's death will be held on Friday December 8 at Blackpool Coroners' Court.
The investigation into Mrs Kneale's sexual assault and murder remains ongoing. In March 2023, Crimestoppers offered a £20,000 reward for information which could help to convict the killer. Mrs Kneale's niece, Lisa Jaffier joined forces with Lancashire Police to appeal for information on BBC Crimewatch.
