PALMYRA - A 34-year-old state prison inmate has been arrested on involuntary manslaughter and drug delivery resulting in death charges in connection with a 2021 overdose death in Palmyra.
Borough police said Friday they have charged Michael David Lewis with providing a mix of fentanyl and methamphetamines to Amber Behney, a 36-year-old mother of two, whose body was found dead June 2, 2021 in a room at The Red Carpet Inn. Police said Friday their investigation showed that Lewis had delivered the fentanyl and methamphetamine to Behney.But state records show that Lewis is being held in State Correctional Institution at Camp Hill, where he’s serving a minimum sentence of 33 months behind bars on a separate group of drug trafficking counts that he was initially arrested on in July 2021.A preliminary hearing on the new charges against Lewis is set for Dec. 29, before Magisterial District Judge Carl Garver.
