Charles Calvin said his bank has since confirmed the figure is no longer in his balance, but his expected $1,700 check has been deposited.

, Calvin said he was expecting to receive $1,700 from the payment. However, after withdrawing $200 from a Family Express ATM, Calvin checked his balance saw he somehow had $8.2 million in his account.while describing what he thought when seeing his account."I'm like, 'What in the world is going on? There's no way I have $8.2 million in my bank account.'"

When he spoke to his bank on Monday, they confirmed it was an error and his actual account balance was $13.69. The bank suggested that the ATM machine he used is printing out the wrong balance on its receipts."It scared the hell out of me," Calvin said."I live paycheck to paycheck to paycheck just like everybody else. I'm a volunteer fireman. I can't have no bad look on me and on my department.

Despite not having $8.2 million in his account, Calvin said if it were his that he would have shared some of it with the local community. "I just want to do right by my town and by myself. I've got standards and I'm not going to bust that for nobody," Calvin said."I want to be upfront and honest and a good-standing citizen in my town."
