PHOTOS: Hail pounded the San Antonio area for several minutes Thursday night
Hail was also seen slipping through the roof of the Alamodome during the Wagner and Frisco Liberty match, delaying the game in the fourth quarter during the Texas Class 5A girls’ basketball state semifinal., Bexar, Central Guadalupe, and Comal Counties were under a severe thunderstorm warning until 8:45 p.m.
The thunderstorms brought heavy rainfall, strong wing gusts of up to 60 miles per hour in some areas, hail and led to thousands without power for quite some time. KSAT meteorologists said the storms in SA began at 5 p.m. and are expected to conclude around 10 p.m.
