When the temps begin to rise, keep cool with these safety tips.
Although your furry friends may love the great outdoors, especially during the summertime, they need to stay cool too. Let them jump in the pool or run through the sprinkler to cool off. One of the best places for them to be is inside in the air conditioning, so even though they may want to play, let them have their fun and run, but then put them inside so they can cool down. Be sure they also have enough water to stay hydrated.
It’s also important to be wary of walking your dog on pavement when the temperature is over 85° because it can badly burn their paw pads. Place your hand on the pavement for 10 seconds, and if it’s too hot for your hand, it's too hot for a dog's paws.
