There hasn't been a display there since 2019
There's just a month to go but there's still no news on whether Nottingham's biggest fireworks display will be taking place this year at the Forest Recreation Ground. Last year's November 5 event was axed due to budget pressures.
It was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic. However, there were two nights of fireworks at the Riverside Festival along Victoria Embankment in August.A spokesman for the local authority said a decision was "imminent". Another big event, organised by Mellish Rugby Club in Mapperley, has been cancelled this year amid fears over crowd safety after becoming so popular.
